A local leader of BNP died of a stroke while attending the party’s road march in Chuadanga district on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Zabbar Bablu, president of BNP's Alamdanga upazila unit, reports UNB.
Sources said Chuadanga BNP arranged a road march in the district as part of the party’s countrywide programme on Saturday afternoon. Abdul Zabbar suffered a stroke when he took part in the programme.
Later, he was taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital where the doctors declared him dead, said Dr. Fateh Akram, Resident Medical Officer of the hospital.
“The body will be handed over after completing the post-mortem," he added.
