Awami League (AL) Advisory Council Member and 14-party alliance spokesperson Amir Hossain Amu today said BNP's politics will be buried if the new generation can know the true history of the country.

"People of the country will hate the BNP-Jamaat if the new generation can know the correct history," he told a discussion as the chief guest organized by Awami Jubo League marking March 25 black night at the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) auditorium in the city.

Amu said seven and a half crore people of this soil had united under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1971. Now, the 18 crore people will go ahead under the leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he said.

Awami League President Sheikh Hasina brought the war criminals to justice, he said, adding anti-liberation force made repeated attempts to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina but she didn't bow down to any evil force.

The veteran AL leader said anti-liberation forces actually want to destroy the country's independence and sovereignty.

"We will have to remain alert against BNP-Jamaat's any kind of conspiracy," he said.

Jubo League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash presided over the meeting while historian and writer Prof Muntasir Mamoon, cricketer Rakibul Hasan, Jubo League General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, among others, spoke on the occasion, reports BSS.
