BCL special meeting held in Kalapara in ivew of BNP movement



Patuakhali: A special meeting of the Bangladesh Chhatra League was held at Kalapara of Patuakhali. Kalapara upazila, municipality and government Mozahar Uddin Biswas College unit Chhatra League organized this special meeting today Saturday (May 20) at noon.

Patuakhali-4 constituency MP Alhaj principal Md. mohibbur Rahman was present in the program as chief guest. 

Upazila Awami League General Secretary Bir Muktijodha Abdul Motaleb Talukdar, District Awami League Vice President Principal Syed Nasir Uddin, Upazila Awami League Vice President Principal Shahidul Islam Biswas, Kalapara Municipal Awami League President and Municipal Mayor Bipul Chandra Howladar were present as special guests in the meeting. 

Md. Saiful Islam, president of the district Chhatra League, inaugurated this special meeting of the Chhatra League. District Chhatra League General Secretary Md. Tanveer Hasan Arif was the special speaker. Chhatra League upazila unit president Nazmul Haque presided over the meeting.

In the speech of the chief guest, Principal Mahibbur Rahman MP said, 'Ahead of the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections, the anti-independence force BNP-Jamaat has started a conspiracy to create an unstable environment in the country. Chhatra League will have to work in the coming days from a strong position to stop all their conspiracies. To implement Bangabandhu's daughter, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's vision of building a smart Bangladesh, every leader and worker of the Chhatra League should acquire technical skills and devote themselves to the work of building a smart Bangladesh.'

District Chhatra League president Md. Saiful Islam said, 'There is no place for terrorists, drug addicts and corrupt people in Chhatra League. Chhatra League should become more united and well-organized to implement Sheikh Hasina's directives and remove all the conspiracies of the anti-independence forces by occupying the streets.'

Incidentally, in this special meeting of the BCL held after many years, thousands of leaders and activists regained their vitality when they were asked to reach the Biodata District BCL within three days to dissolve all the old committees and form a new committee.

Earlier in the morning, the leaders and activists of various units started gathering at the meeting place in a procession with banners, festoons and making the city colorful. A large number of police presence was visible in the meeting to prevent disorder. - Gofran Biswas Palash
