Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that there is no alternative of dialogue.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that there is no alternative of dialogue. We believe that everything must be concluded through dialogue and discussion.
He made the remarks in reply to queries of the reporters after attending the Independence Award 2023 programme at the Headquarters of Fire Service and Civil Defence Department on Wednesday (June 7).
Home Minister said, “Awami League is a popular party which is in power for long years. The party believes in people’s power. So, dialogue must be held to continue that people’s power. That’s why, there is no alternative of dialogue.”
When asked about the permission of protest rally called by Jamaat-e-Islami, Home Minister said, “Those do politics will show their opinions. This is the normal system. Jamaat-e-Islami is not a recognised party by the election commission (EC) so far I know. The matter will be determined by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) commissioner. They will take decision whether there is likely to create any chaos or sabotage if the rally is allowed.”
In reply to another query, he said, “This job goes to the Foreign Affairs Ministry. That is enough what they said. They are monitoring the issues. We expect that the envoys should obey discipline to perform their duties properly.”
