The interim government has not yet decided to ban any political party, Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder announced at a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy on October 28.

In response to questions regarding the potential removal of President Mohammed Shahabuddin, Azad indicated that advisers are currently discussing the matter to reach a political consensus. He also noted that the government is engaging with leaders from the anti-Discrimination Student Movement and other stakeholders involved in the July-August uprising.

"We aim to make a decision through consensus, consulting all political parties," he stated.

Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam echoed this sentiment, referencing Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan's earlier comments about the President's removal, affirming that consultations will continue and the outcomes will be shared once a conclusion is reached.

Regarding inquiries about the extradition of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Azad mentioned there are no new updates on that front.
