Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today urged the countrymen to stand firm against the anti-liberation forces as they are still engaging in a conspiracy against the country.

"The anti-liberation forces are still engaged in a conspiracy against the nation...consequently, all of us should have to resist them under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina," he said.

Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said this as he along with the ruling party Awami League top leaders paid tribute at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi-32 Residence this morning, marking the Historic March 7.

The people formed unanimity in 1971 under the leadership of Bangabandhu and they have to form a similar unity under the leadership of Bangabandhu's successor Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

"Currently, unanimity is a must to resist the evil forces, which are still orchestrating plots against the nation," he added.
