AL programs on Bangabandhu's birth centenary, and golden jubilee

The ruling Awami League has announced programs, marking Bangabandhu's birth centenary and golden jubilee of the country's independence.

AL presidium member Sheikh Fazlul Karim Salem has announced the program schedule after a meeting held at AL President Sheikh Hasina's political office at Dhanmondi here today. 

On March 17, President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will  pay tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his mazar at Tungipara, Gopalganj. 

Besides, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address a discussion on the same day there as the chief guest. 

On March 18, a discussion will be held at Tungipara while Bangladesh Chhatra League will hold its program on March 19. 

Jatiya Sramik League will observe the birth centenary and golden jubilee of the country's independence on March 20, Krishak League on March 21, Awami 

League Jubo League on March 22, Jubo Mohila League on March 23, Mohila Awami League on March 24 and Awami Swechchhasebak League on March 25 and Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad will observe their programs from March 19 to 25. 

Apart from these programs, a Lakoj Mala (folk festival) will be held from March 19-25 at Gopalganj Sadar.

President Safia Khatun and General Secretary Mahmuda Begum, among others, were present.
