Pir Saheb of Charmonai and Amir, Islami Andolan Bangladesh, addressing a Dhaka South city unit conference of the party at the Institution of Engineers on Friday.
Islamic Movement Bangladesh Amir, Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim Pir Saheb Charmonai has said, unrest in other religions and beliefs does not decrease but increases, theft does not decrease but increases, looting, extortion, corruption does not decrease but increases. And Islam is a religion where there is no room for corruption, looting, theft, and bribery. There is no shelter for extortionists and usurpers in Islam. He said, even in the long 53 years of independence, we have not been able to enjoy the benefits of independence. Many of those who were in power for this long time have looted state resources and smuggled them abroad. They have created Begumparas abroad. They have repeatedly earned the title of making the country a champion in the world court.
Addressing a Dhaka South City unit conference of IAB, Pir Saheb Charmonai also said, we have gained new independence through the July Uprising. To make this freedom meaningful, we have to be united. Efforts are being made to give a single box in favour of Islam in the upcoming national elections.
He made the above remarks as the chief guest of the city conference organized on Friday, at the Engineers Institution Auditorium, under the initiative of Islami Andolan Bangladesh Dhaka Metropolitan South, with the theme "The liberation of the people lies not in appeasing hegemony and imperialism but in the victory of Islam" and with a call to build public opinion for the trial of the 2024 genocide and the demand for national elections under the proportional representation (PR) system.
