Malek shared the update with reporters after an iftar gathering hosted by the Noakhali Nationalist Forum UK on Wednesday evening (March 19) in London, where prayers were offered for Khaleda Zia's recovery.
He mentioned that Khaleda Zia's doctors are preparing for her return and providing the necessary treatment. However, he noted that flight availability could cause a slight delay, potentially by a day or two. "But Madam is ready to go home," he added.
When asked about the return of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Malek said it was uncertain when he would return to Bangladesh, but suggested that Tarique may come back a few days after Khaleda Zia's departure. "I believe both leaders will not travel at the same time," he said.
The event was chaired by London City BNP Adviser Abul Hossain Jasim and attended by various prominent BNP leaders, including Senior Vice-President Abul Kalam Azad, Senior Joint General Secretary Parvez Mallick, Jatiyatabadi Lawyers Forum UK General Secretary Barrister Hamidul Haque Afendi Liton, and Zia Parishad UK Chapter President Professor Dr. Saiful Alam Chowdhury.
