BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed today said a deep-rooted conspiracy is underway to prove the interim government ineffective.
"Far from apologizing for the 15 and a half years of horrific misrule, the leaders of Hasina's forces who committed genocide are threatening to take this government to task. They are destroying the courts, giving little care to the police. The arrogant behaviour of Hasina's friends in the court despite being accused is basically a deep conspiracy to prove the interim government ineffective," he said.
He said these at a press conference at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan here.
Rizvi said that the interim government formed immediately after the long bloody movement does not reflect the expectations of the country's democratic forces.
Although there may be progress in some areas, there is a lack of preparation to build a strong framework for democracy.
The accused in the murder of the fallen dictator openly speak in court demanding trial of the independence proclaimers, Shaheed Zia and Khaleda Zia, he added.
He said that such a situation has been created because Hasina's oligarchs in the Police Administration and the Ministry of Home Affairs are 'ghosts in the mustard'.
Rizvi claimed that the Awami League is daring to hold sudden processions in various parts of the country, including capital Dhaka, with the help of some people in the administration.
They are attacking the houses and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations, said the BNP leader adding house of sculptor Manabendra Ghosh in Manikganj has been set on fire and burnt into ashes.
There are some parties who want to fish in muddled waters, and if they do not have the fuel behind them, the fascist followers do not dare to create chaos in the country, he said.
Rizvi also mentioned that those involved in the smuggling of TK 28 lakh crore of the Awami misrule are still out of reach, so the syndicate of fascists is still working in markets, financial institutions, and various sectors.
BNP Joint Secretary General Habib Un Nabi Khan Sohel, BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council member Abdus Salam, were among others present at the press conference, reports BSS.
