The National Citizens Party (NCP) has issued show-cause notices to five senior leaders, including Hasnat Abdullah, Sarjis Alam, and Tasnim Jara.

The notices were released on Wednesday through separate statements signed by Saleh Uddin Sifat, the party’s Joint Member Secretary (Office).

According to the notices, the leaders undertook a personal trip to Cox’s Bazar on August 5, coinciding with the first anniversary of the July Uprising—an important national day observed by the party. This trip was made without informing or obtaining approval from the party’s Political Council.

The five leaders served with notices are Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari, Chief Organiser (North) Sarjis Alam, Chief Organiser (South) Hasnat Abdullah, Senior Joint Member Secretary Tasnim Jara, and Joint Convener Khaled Saifullah.

They have been instructed to appear in person before the party’s Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain within 24 hours, and submit written explanations justifying their absence on the national day and the reasons behind their trip to Cox’s Bazar.
