EC to meet parties after finalizing Code of Conduct: Secretary

Senior Secretary of the Election Commission (EC) Akhtar Ahmed today said the commission will hold dialogue with the political parties after getting the final the Code of Conduct 2025 for political parties and candidates ahead of the 13th Parliamentary Polls.
“We’re waiting for the dialogue. We will fix the date for the talks after getting the gazette of the Code of Conduct for the candidates and political parties,” he said.
He made the remarks while replying to questions from journalists in front of his office at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon here.
The EC had earlier hold several rounds of talks with media personalities, election experts, women leaders, representatives from civil society and educationists ahead of the forthcoming parliamentary polls, reports BSS.
