Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman today said his party will neither engage in corruption nor allow it in any form while outlining key conditions for Jamaat's participation in a national government if given the responsibility to serve the nation.

Speaking at a views-exchange meeting with distinguished residents of Purba Kafrul under Dhaka-15 constituency, he said, "Jamaat will join the national government only if there is no corruption, no interference in the judiciary, and governance is in accordance with the July Charter."

He added Jamaat is open to forming a national government with all political stakeholders, including those who have expressed the intention of forming a government without Jamaat.

However, he made it clear that these conditions must be met for any collaboration.

Dr Shafiqur emphasized that only those who accept these conditions will be allowed to be part of the national government envisioned by Jamaat.

The meeting was attended by Dhaka North Jamaat Nayeeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa, Assistant Secretary Dr Fakhruddin Manik and other party leaders, reports BSS.
