US President Donald Trump claimed that consumer prices in the United States were falling “tremendously” as he addressed a campaign-style rally on Tuesday aimed at easing voter frustration over the rising cost of living.
Speaking in Pennsylvania, the Republican leader said, “Prices are coming down tremendously from the highest prices in the history of our country,” while criticising Democrats for what he described as a “hoax” surrounding inflation concerns.
