49 destitute people, orphan pupils get cash support in Rangabali

Destitute people get cash support in Rangabali.



Patuakhali: At least 49 people including terminally ill, destitute, helpless, orphaned students in Rangabali upazila under Patuakhali district received a cash donation of taka 2000. On Thursday (November 17) around 11:00 a.m., member of the National Parliament's Standing Committee on Defense Ministry and Patuakhali-4 Constituency Member of Parliament Md. Mohibbur Rahman Mohib handed over the cash donation to the beneficiaries as the chief guest.

Rangabali Upazila Parishad Chairman Dr. Zahir Ahmed, UNO Md Mashfakur Rahman, Upazila Awamileague President Principal Delwar Hossain, Secretary Md Saiduzzaman Mamun among others were also present at that time.

Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Rakib Hossain said that this cash donation was distributed among 49 people, including terminally ill, indigent, helpless, orphaned students, with the funding of Bangladesh National Social Welfare Council. Among the beneficiaries were 10 orphaned students of Chaulabuniya Orphanage in the upazila. - Gofran Biswas Palash
