Patuakhali: Former Panel Mayor of Kuakata Municipality and Municipal Awami League Organizing Secretary Md. Shah Alam Howladar distributed blankets and cash to more than 400 families affected by government land rescue operation outside the embankment in Kuakata. 

Today, November 17 (Thursday) in the morning, he distributed 5 hundred taka in cash and 1 blanket among the residents of wards 7, 8 and 9 of the municipal area. Pesh Imam of Kuakata Aroz Ali Central Jame Masjid and Assistant Principal of Bangabandhu Secondary School Mawlana Mainul Islam Mannan, President of Kuakata Television Journalist Forum Anwar Hossain Anu and others were present at that time.

Azimon, Rokeya, Rabeya, Aleya Begum,  Chattar and Ripon, who were affected by the eviction operation, said that they have been living under the open sky since the eviction. Being unemployed and living an inhumane life. In such a situation, Shah Alam Howladar came and stood beside them. We benefited from it to some extent.

Shah Alam Howladar said that the families affected by the government land recovery operation have become helpless. Their earnings have stopped. They were suffering from winter. I express my gratitude to Almighty Allah for being able to stand by them. - Gofran Biswas Palash
