Area-based specific-time load shedding in the country will begin from Tuesday.
Area-based specific-time load shedding in the country will begin from tomorrow (Tuesday) to reduce the use of fuel electricity generation in the power plants, said Prime Minister's energy adviser Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury on Monday.
"There will be one to two hours of load shedding per day. And all the shops will remain closed after 8 pm," the energy adviser said.
The decision has been taken at a meeting where state minister for Power and Energy, chief secretary, senior secretary of the Prime Minister's office and related officials were present.
Besides, petrol pumps will also remain shut once a week. The government and private offices will continue virtually.
