Shafiqul Alam appointed as press secretary to Chief Advisor

Shafiqul Alam, Bangladesh bureau chief of international news agency AFP, has been appointed as the press secretary to the Chief Advisor of the interim government, according to a gazette notification received here today.

In line with the order of the president Mohammed Shahbuddin, the Ministry of Public Administration issued the gazette notification on Tuesday.
The status of the press secretary will be equivalent to a secretary of the government.
The duration of the contractual appointment depends on the tenure of the Chief Advisor or subject to his satisfaction from the date of his joining, reports BSS.
He will get consolidated salary of Taka 78,000 with other benefits during this time, according to the gazette.
