Moin re-elected DCAB President; Emrul new GS

AKM Moinuddin, Special Correspondent of United News of Bangladesh (UNB), has been re-elected President of the Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB) for the year 2026.


Abeda Sultana Mukta, Diplomatic Correspondent of Desh TV and Emrul Kayesh, Special Correspondent of Bangla Vision, have been elected Vice President and General Secretary respectively.

Morshed Hassib Hasan, Special Correspondent of Channel 24, Rubaet Hasan, Senior Correspondent of Deepto TV and Nahid Hossain, Special Correspondent of Alap.news have been elected Joint Secretary, Treasurer and Office Secretary respectively.

Bashir Ahmed, Special Correspondent of Daily Amar Desh, Pantho Rahaman, Special Correspondent of Channel I, Atiqur Rahman, Diplomatic Correspondent of Dainik Jababdihi, Khurram Zaman, Special Correspondent of Amader Natun Shomoy and M. A. K. Zilani, Diplomatic Correspondent of Daily Shomoyer Alo have been elected Executive Committee members.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) and election were held on Wednesday at Bishwo Shahitto Kendro in Dhaka.

DCAB President (2025) AKM Moinuddin presided over the AGM where outgoing General Secretary Md Arifuzzaman Mamun and Treasurer Morshed Hassib Hasan presented their reports respectively.

Chief Election Commissioner and former AP Bureau Chief Farid Hossain, together with Election Commissioner and Daily Times of Bangladesh Advisory Editor Elias Khan, announced the election results after vote counting, reports UNB.
