Bangladesh Remittances Reach $584M in First Five Days of Nov

Bangladesh received $584 million in remittances during the first five days of November, averaging $116.8 million per day, Bangladesh Bank Executive Director Arif Hossain Khan said.


The inflow during the same period last year was $421 million, marking a notable year-on-year increase. On November 5 alone, expatriates sent $123 million.

From July to November 5 of the current fiscal year, remittances totalled $10.733 billion, a 14.7% growth compared to the same period last year.

Monthly inflows in recent months were $2.478 billion in July, $2.421 billion in August, $2.685 billion in September, and $2.563 billion in October.

During the 2024–25 fiscal year, Bangladesh received a record $30.32 billion in remittances, the highest ever in the country’s history.
