Woman Tennis official Mashfia reached India safe

She is scheduled to return home on 20 January after finishing the assignment in India.



Bangladeshi woman Tennis official Mashfia Afrin has reached Delhi in India in the evening on Thursday to officiate the International Junior Tennis Tournament as an Assistant Referee there.

The international tournament is to be held from 6 to 12 January in Delhi and 13 to 19 January in Kolkata. By conducting the tournament, she is becoming the first Bangladeshi woman official to officiate any Tennis tournament abroad.

She is scheduled to return home on 20 January after finishing the assignment in India.

Previously, this young Tennis official was an on-court official of the ITF World Junior Tour, Dhaka 2023 and Asian U14 Series Tennis Tournament 2023. She conducted matches as an Assistant Referee at the ITF Asian U14 tournament in January 2023 and at the ITF U12 Championship in May. She proved herself as a competent Referee at the Junior World Tennis Series Dhaka Open in February and at the Junior World Tennis Series BKSP Open in March of the same year.
