Shariatpur-Chandpur ferry service resumes after 8 hrs

BIWTC authorities normalized the ferry service from 8 am on Friday,



The ferry movement on the Shariatpur-Chandpur route has returned to normal after being closed for eight hours due to dense fog.

BIWTC authorities normalized the ferry service from 8 am on Friday (January 5).

Earlier, the ferry service on the route was stopped from 12 am.

BIWTC Narsinghapur ferry ghat manager Iqbal Hossain said dense fog appeared on Thursday midnight. In order to avoid accidents in the fog, the ferry service was stopped from 12:00 am. Later, when the thick fog cleared, the ferry service was normalized at around 8 am on Friday. At present, five ferries ply on this route.
