Stranded tourists return from St Martin`s Island

After being stranded for four days the tourists were brought back Monday evening



About 200 tourists stranded on the Saint Martin's Island due to the recent inclement weather, have reached in Teknaf safely.
According to sources, after being stranded for four days the tourists were brought back Monday evening (October 2) by a cruise ship named “MV Baro Awlia”.
Teknaf UNO Md Adnan Chowdhury said as the weather conditions improved, the ship went to the Saint Martin Islan and brought back the tourists safely.
Saint Martin union parishad chairman Mujibur Rahman said the tourists return back on Monday afternoon after staying here safely.
Earlier on Friday (September 29), due to hostile weather conditions in Cox's Bazar, tourist ships travelling on the Teknaf-Saint Martin route were suspended, leaving over 200 tourists stranded on Saint Martin's Island.
