Functions of Mongla port became normal after Friday evening



The cyclonic storm ‘Midhili’ has weakened into a deep depression after moving north-northeastwards and crossing the coast on Friday afternoon.

According to met office sources, Midhili is likely to move northeastwards further inland and weaken gradually by giving precipitation.

Functions of Mongla port became normal after Friday evening and there are 14 ships in the port, said Shahin Mojid of Mongla Port Authority. 

Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik, a meteorologist of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), said cyclonic storm ‘Midhili’ has weakened, and the weather will become normal from Saturday.
