Mongla port launches online service

From now on, the port users will be able to pay all the revenue of the port online.



Mongla port authority launched an online service program through digitalization of the overall activities on Tuesday. From now on, the port users will be able to pay all the revenue of the port online.

The port authorities are expecting Mongla to turn into the Smat port as the online activities are launched. And the port users said they will get the benefit of paying the revenue easily through this program. At the same time, irregularities and corruption will be reduced.

Mongla Port Authority Deputy Secretary Munshi Makruzzaman said, "From now on, all the traders involved in import and export through Mongla Port will be able to take this opportunity. Traders will be able to receive all services in addition to paying their bills through online from any part of the world.''

Khulna C&F Agent Association President Sultan Ahmed Khan said the system will reduce the suffering of the traders.

The service was inaugurated by Mongla Port Authority Chairman Rear Admiral Mir Ershad Ali.

At that time, Member of the port authority (Harbor and Marine) Captain Asaduzzaman, Member (Engineering and Innonon), Dr Anisur Rahman, Chief Finance and Accounting Officer Siddiqur Rahman and BRAC Bank PLC representatives were present, among others.
