Trade between Bangladesh and India through the Hili land port in Dinajpur will be suspended for eight days, from March 29 to April 5, in observance of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Prof. Shahinur Islam, General Secretary of the Hili Customs C&F Agents Association, confirmed the suspension, stating that all trade activities will be halted during the holiday period.

Trade is expected to resume at the land port on April 6.

However, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Hili Immigration Check-post, Ariful Islam, clarified that cross-border travel will continue through the immigration check-post during this period.
