Bangladesh has ordered 25 aircraft from Boeing as part of its ongoing trade negotiations with the United States over impending 35% reciprocal tariffs on Bangladeshi exports, scheduled to take effect from 1 August.

A delegation led by Commerce Adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin is set to depart for the US on 28 July to engage in high-level discussions aimed at resolving the trade dispute.

Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman confirmed that the delegation will meet with officials from the United States Trade Representative (USTR) in Washington, DC, on 29 and 30 July, with a possible follow-up meeting on 31 July. The results of the meetings are expected before the tariffs are implemented.

India and Vietnam have each ordered 100 aircraft from Boeing, while Indonesia has ordered 50, also as part of their negotiations with the US.
