Bangladesh, UK discuss tourism, trade prospects

Bangladesh and the United Kingdom (UK) today discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in tourism, trade and investment as Bangladesh High Commissioner in London Abida Islam met the Mayor and Mayoress of Oldham.


According to the Bangladesh High Commission in London, Islam was warmly received by Mayor Cllr Eddie Moore and Mayoress Kath Moore during an official engagement at the Oldham Metropolitan Borough.

The meeting focused on strengthening economic links, promoting Bangladesh's tourism potential, and enhancing investment flows, while also recognising the significant contributions of the British-Bangladeshi diaspora to the UK.

Bangladesh Assistant High Commissioner in Manchester Jobayed Hossain, Minister (Political) Shahriar Mosharraf, community leaders and councillors were also present, reports BSS.
