Pressure of huge number of vehicles carrying Eid holidaymakers has increased on the country’s highways.

During visit on Wednesday morning, huge number of vehicles were seen on the highways in Tangail and Sirajganj. 

Thousands of homebound people have started leaving the capital Dhaka from Tuesday afternoon. Many of the homebound left Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon after attending their respective offices as it was the last working day ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Siraiganj Traffic Inspector the traffic congestion on the highway has increased but there is no pressure on the highway.

About 800 police personnel have been deployed to ensure the movement of people smoothly with security.
