Dhaka-bound passengers came to know the news of suspension of bus movement when they went to different terminals on Friday morning.

While visiting the Maskanda terminal, there found that Ena Paribahan bus counter has been kept closed. No Dhaka-bound bus was found at Akua Bypass, Shikarikanda Bypass area of the city.

Passengers Shahidullah, who was waiting at Maskanda terminal, said that road transport of Mymensingh has been cut off from the rest of the country by stopping all public transport.

Two top political parties--Awami League and BNP-- will hold rallies in the capital on Saturday.

BNP men alleged that the bus services has been stopped ahead of their rally.

Meanwhile, the transport owners said they suspended the bus movement to avert sabotage.
