A train from the port city Chattogram ran to Cox's Bazar on an experimental basis on Sunday.

Earlier, the train left Chattogram railway station for Cox's Bazar at around 9:30 am. The seven-coach train has an inspection team from the Directorate of Railway Inspection.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the newly constructed Dohazari-Cox's Bazar railway in Chattogram on November 11. Commercial trains will start running on this route within a couple of weeks after the inauguration.
Eastern Railway General Manager (Additional Duty) Nazmul Islam said in the morning, "We left for Cox's Bazar with seven coaches. On the way to Cox's Bazar, all the construction works including newly constructed railway, bridge, station, signaling system will be inspected.''
The train is scheduled to reach Cox's Bazar around 5:30 PM.
The train is carrying senior officials of the Railway Inspection Department along with officials of various departments of the Eastern Railway.
It is known that the officials of the Railway Inspection Department will be stationed in Cox's Bazar. The team will visit Cox's Bazar railway station yard on November 6.
The team will leave for Chattogram again on November 7.
Dohazari-Cox's Bazar Railway Project Director Subaktgin said, ''Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will come to Cox's Bazar on November 11 to inaugurate this railway. After the inauguration, trains can run commercially from November 20 or 25. There are plans to run six pairs of trains from Dhaka and Chattogram on the route.
