Rail link of Dhaka with northern districts snapped

Rail communication of Dhaka with the country's northern region remains suspended as a compartment of a train derailed in Betor area of Tangail Sadar upazila early Tuesday (November 21).

Rezaul Karim, officer-in-charge of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station, said the Rangpur Express Train left Bangabandhu Bridge East railway station early this morning. Later, the train derailed in the area.

Tangail Railway police Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Akbar said the matter was reported to the railway authorities instantly. A rescue team will reach the spot soon.
