Security beefed up at metro stations

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-3) conducted a search operation with the dog squad at Motijheel metro station on Thursday.



Security has been beefed up at various metro rail stations to prevent vandalism and violence ahead of the upcoming 12th national parliamentary election.

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-3) conducted a search operation with the dog squad at Motijheel metro station on Thursday.

According to RAB, security has been increased to prevent any kind of vandalism and violence in important installations of metro rail.

Lieutenant Colonel Arif Mohiuddin Ahmed, commanding officer (Captain) of RAB-3, said: “Our detectives are deployed in plain clothes at metro rail stations. Moreover, we continue our intelligence surveillance by collecting various information data in constant communication with the authorities of metro rail.”

He also said that on Thursday, a team of RAB-3 conducted a security search at the metro rail station located in Motijheel. 

“This is a part of our routine security. This will continue in the future,” he added.
