DMP files 934 cases, fines Tk36 lac for breaking traffic law

Dhaka, Oct 1 - The traffic division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed 934 cases and imposed fine of Tk 35.90 lakh after conducting drives against traffic rule violators on Monday.

Jahangir Kabir, assistant commissioner (media) of DMP, said the DMP also dumped 218 vehicles and 117 vehicles were put on the wrecker during the drives in different parts of the capital.

The drive will continue to maintain discipline, he said. - UNB
