Nationwide Train Services Resume After Employee Strike
Nationwide train services in Bangladesh resumed today after the running employees of Bangladesh Railway called off their work abstention, according to an official release. The strike had previously disrupted train services across the country, causing inconvenience to commuters.
Following the resolution, normal rail operations have been restored, allowing trains to run on their regular schedules. The resumption of services has been a relief to many passengers who were affected by the suspension.
In response to the disruption, the Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) had temporarily initiated bus services to and from Dhaka to other major destinations across the country, to help accommodate railway passengers. However, with the return of regular train services, these temporary bus operations have now been discontinued, the release stated.
The resumption of rail communication is expected to ease transportation for daily commuters, long-distance travelers, and freight services, significantly improving the travel experience across the nation.
