Rail communications with Dhaka were restored on Wednesday after a three-hour disruption caused by the derailment of two bogies of a container-laden train near Kamalapur Railway Station.

According to Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Station Master at Dhaka Railway Station, the incident occurred around 11:35 am when the two bogies of a train coming from Chattogram derailed as it entered Kamalapur.

The derailment forced authorities to halt train services temporarily. Operations resumed on a single track at 1:10 pm, and full normal service was restored by 2:30 pm after the bogies were cleared from the tracks.
