Ferry services on the Aricha-Kazirhat river route resumed this morning after remaining suspended for 11 hours due to dense fog.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Aricha Ghat Assistant General Manager (AGM) Md Abdullah said ferry movement on the route was suspended from 11:00 pm on Thursday as visibility dropped sharply.

"After improvement in visibility, ferry services resumed at 10:00 am today," he said.

He added that all five ferries are now operating normally with full loads. There was no significant traffic congestion at Aricha Ghat except for a few stranded trucks, reports BSS.
