Two unidentified women were found dead near the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in the capital on Monday morning.

The women aged over 50 were found unconscious behind the hospital's One Stop Emergency Centre (OSEC) around 10:00 am.

Later, they were taken to the hospital's emergency department where the attending physician declared both of them dead.

Md Ayub Ali, ward master of the emergency department, said hospital authorities were informed about two unconscious women lying beside the emergency unit around 10:00 am.

"They were brought to the Emergency Department where the duty doctor pronounced them dead," he said.

Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH Police camp, said the bodies were kept at the hospital morgue.

The Crime Scene Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has been informed to help identify the deceased, reports UNB.
