Housewife's body found hanging in Khulna

The deceased was identified as Mita, 16.

The body was recovered around 9 am from a house near Gaffar Food intersection in Gilatala under Ward No. 6 of Khan Jahan Ali Police Station.

The detainees are Mita's husband, Majhar, and his father, Saiful Islam.

Khan Jahan Ali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Abul Bashar said police rushed to the scene after being informed by locals and found the young woman hanging from a bamboo beam inside the house, reports UNB.

He said the husband and father-in-law were taken to the police station after local residents raised questions about the incident.

"The matter is under investigation, and it is too early to comment on the cause of death," the OC said.
