Two children drown in Gaibandha pond

Two children drowned in a pond at Dashlal village in Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Mim Akter, 3, daughter of Farhad Ali of Dashlal village, and her cousin Afrin Akter, daughter of Kabir Mondal of Delduar in Tangail.
Inspector Md Zahurul Haque, in-charge of the Bairagihat Police Investigation Centre, said Mim and her cousin Afrin were playing together.
At one point, the two children fell into a pond near their house and drowned.
Family members began searching for them and recovered the bodies of the two children from the pond, reports BSS.
