The accident happened around 9 am at Kalukhali Suryadia rail crossing.



Two people died after being run over by a train in Rajbari's Kalukhali upazila on Monday morning.

The accident happened around 9 am at Kalukhali Suryadia rail crossing.

One of the deceased has been identified. He was Khayer Kha, 60, a farmer from Ratandia union of the upazila. The other person was not immediately identified.

According to locals, a Rajshahi-bound train Tungipara Express from Gopalganj ran over the two persons while they were crossing the rail line. They died on the spot.

Rajbari Railway Police Station officer-in-charge Somnath Basu confirmed it.
