Two youths tragically lost their lives after being electrocuted in Goakara village, Lakhai upazila, last night.

The victims were identified as Faraj Ali, 30, son of Abdur Rauf Mia, and Jamshed Mia, 35, son of Hazi Rahmat Ali, both residents of the village.

The incident occurred around 8 PM when a nor’wester caused an electric cable belonging to the Rural Electrification Board (REB) to snap and fall on the two men, according to Bande Ali Mia, Officer-in-Charge of Lakhai Police Station.
