Two children drown in Sherpur

Two children drowned in a pond around 5 pm today in Malamari village of Kakilakura Union No. 3 of Sribardi upazila in the district.
The deceased were Swadhin, 5, son of Yanur Mia of Malamari area of the upazila and Arshaful, 5, son of Shahjalal Mia of the same area.
According to the family of the deceased and locals, Swadhin and Arshaful fell into a pond while playing near their house in the afternoon, reports BSS.
Officer-in-Charge of Sribardi Police Station Md. Anwar Zahid confirmed it.
