Two children die after drowning in Gazipur
Two children have died when they drowned in a water body while taking bath at Konabari here this morning.
The deceased were identified as Junayed, 12 , a class five student, son of Akmal of Baro Mirzapore Sathibari village in Mithapukur Upazila of Rangpur district and Abdul Momin,12, son of M Shamim of Tatlavillge in Shahjadpur Upazila of Sirajganj.
Police and local people said both the children went to take bath at a water body adjacent to Dewaliabari Dakshinpara Digirpar Eidgah ground in the morning and at one stage, they downed in the water.
The local people found their bodies floating in the water.
After receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and recovered their bodies from the water.
The dead bodies were handed over to the their families after completing necessary legal process, said Sub-Inspector (SI) of Konabari Police station M Rafiqul Islam, reports BSS.
