Chattogram, Nov 9 — A man was allegedly killed by his son following a family dispute in Satkania upazila of Chattogram on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Ahmed Hossain, 52, a resident of Nayapara village under Kanchana Union of the upazila.

Locals said Ahmed Hossain and his elder son Riyad Hossain, 22, got into an argument over family matters. At one stage, Riyad slit his father’s throat with a knife. Later, he died on the way to the Satkania Upazila Health Complex.

Satkania Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Ariful Islam Siddiqui said he visited the scene after receiving information.

The body has been sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for autopsy, and a case is being prepared over the incident, he said. - UNB
