The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds in five regions of the country by 1pm on Wednesday.

According to a special forecast issued for the country’s inland river ports, winds from the west or northwest may reach speeds of 45–60 kilometres per hour in Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali and Chattogram.

The forecast, signed by meteorologist Md Abdul Hamid Mia, said the regions could experience temporary gusty winds along with rain or thundershowers.
