Another low pressure area is likely over the Bay in next 48 hrs



Dhaka, Oct 13 - Another low pressure area is likely to be formed over the Southwest Bay of Bengal during 48 hours from 9am on Sunday, said a Met office bulletin.

“Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions during the period,” it said.

Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from Bangladesh except Chattogram region and conditions are favourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from rest part of the country during the next 24 hours.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere across the country.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the Met Office added.

Country’s highest 28 mm rainfall was recorded in Dhaka in 24 hrs till 6am today.-UNB
