Light to moderate rain likely in parts of country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted light to moderate rain in different parts of the country for the next 24 hours commencing from 9am today.


"Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal and Dhaka divisions and one or two places over Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chattogram divisions," said a met office bulletin that begins from 9am today.

The weather may remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, the bulletin added.

Light to moderate fog may occur at places all over the country from midnight till morning, reports BSS.

Night temperature may fall by (1-2)oC and day temperature may fall by (2-3)oC over the country.

The country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 31.0 degrees Celsius at Bandarban and Sandwip in the Chattogram division and today's minimum temperature 10.3 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia in the Rangpur division.

The sun sets at 05.17 pm today and rises at 06.37am tomorrow in the capital.
