Winter conditions intensified in Dhaka on Friday as dense fog blanketed the city and temperatures dipped further, making the cold feel sharper than the previous day.

The capital recorded its lowest temperature of the season at 13.5 degrees Celsius in the morning, down from 14.2 degrees Celsius on Thursday.

A short-term weather outlook for Dhaka and nearby areas indicated cloudy skies with mainly dry conditions expected through the morning hours.

Winds are likely to blow from the north or northwest at speeds of 6 to 12 kilometers per hour, while daytime temperatures may rise slightly later in the day.
