Dead dolphin floats to Kuakata Beach.



Patuakhali: A 6 feet long Irrawaddy dolphin has washed up on Kuakata beach. The dolphin was spotted by members of the Kuakata Dolphin Conservation Committee in the Jhowban area on Sunday evening.

Johnny Alamgir, a member of the Dolphin Protection Committee, said that he saw the dolphin lying here on his way to the beach in the afternoon. From talking to the locals it came in the afternoon tide.

Ruman Imtiaz Tushar, team leader of Kuakata Dolphin Protection Committee, said that as soon as we got the news, our members informed the forest department and arranged to bury the dolphin in a safe place. - Gofran Biswas Palash
